I’m a firm believer in pampering yourself. Whether it’s enjoying a nice glass of wine while binge watching Netflix, or taking a candle lit bath listening to some relaxing music. We all deserve to treat ourselves. But what about when you are short on time? Can you still find a way to pamper yourself?  Absolutely, especially if you are using the Spongelle Body Wash Infused Buffer, $16.

If you’re not familiar with Spongelle, it is a Los Angeles based company specializing in innovative delivery systems for the personal care and consumer products industry. Their products not only contain unique patented technologies, but also are never tested on animals.

So how can a sponge on a ribbon provide pampering qualities in 14+ washes? In many ways. For starters, the the Spongelle combines a body wash and buffer in one product. Secondly, it is infused with one-of-a-kind fragrance and creamy suds. The Spongelle is available in five scents, including, Coconut Verbena, Ginger Bergamot, Bulgarian Rose, French Lavender, and Papaya Yuzu. I was lucky enough to receive the French Lavender, which made my shower smell amazing.

The sponge also offers several other skin benefits:

  • Hypoallergenic
  • Dermatologist Tested
  • Cleanses, exfoliates, hydrates & massages
  • Time-released lather
  • Multi-function, multi-use
  • Contains extracts of Yuzu, Edelweiss & Vetiver

As I mentioned above, I really loved the scent and the creamy lather of the Spongelle. I also liked the size and shape of the sponge, as well as the soft ribbon attached to it. All three made made for easy shower usage and storage.

 Spongelle Sponge Lather

The only thing I found a little surprising was the texture of the sponge. It was a bit scratchier than I would have liked, especially during my first use. I realize this texture is needed for exfoliation, but my sensitive skin definitely didn’t take to it at first. The Spongelle does become less scratchy over time, and after using it over the past two weeks the texture doesn’t bother me anymore. It makes my skin feel hydrated, massaged, and cleansed.  I will be sad when my 14+ washes are done, and the sponge no longer lathers and fills my shower with its luxurious scent.

Cindy tried the Papaya Yuzu that came in one of her PopSugar boxes, see what she thought here.

Bottom line: $16.00 might seem like a lot for a sponge that only lasts fourteen or so washes, but it is well worth the price point. The Spongelle pampers your skin, smells amazing, and is infused with skin beneficial ingredients. It makes a great treat for yourself, or for anyone else who loves bath and body products, or needs a little extra pampering.
